SPECIFIC RULES FOR CAL RIPKEN MINOR/MAJOR LEAGUE
1. Play 6 innings or an hour and 45 minutes whichever comes first.
2. Three outs or 5 runs will constitute a completed half inning of play.
3. After each game, coaches need to go to official book and double check your pitching was recorded correctly and sign it. If you don’t you accept book as is.
4. Must have at least 8 players to play. 9th player will be an automatic out.
5. A pitcher will be allowed to pitch only 6 innings per week. One pitch thrown constitutes one inning pitched, If a pitcher pitches more than 2 innings in one game he must have 2 days rest before he pitches again. Penalty for infraction of this rule is in the rule book. Parents should be notified one day prior.
6. Coaches you are responsible for your dug out both at game times and practice times. Please use the trash cans.
7. Everybody bats and free substitution. Teams with more players have the option of only batting the number of players as the opposing team, regular substitution rules apply for extra players.
8. Coin toss determines Home team.
9. Home is responsible for putting a competent person in charge of the official scorebook, and visitors are responsible for putting a competent person in charge of the scoreboard. If you don’t comply your team will forfeit. Only 2 people are allowed in the score booths.
10. No Jewelry may be worn by players.
